Welcome to our church website...As image bearers of Christ we have been created to worship...
At Ballywalter Presbyterian we are committed to worshipping the triune God of the Bible; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. One of the ways we worship God is to meet together in fellowship on Sunday mornings. At Church we engage in the teaching and preaching of God's word, we participate in prayer, sing praise, bring our offerings to God and seek to encourage one another in the Christian faith. Our morning service starts at 11Am. We hope you will find a place of warm welcome for visitors and members alike. There is no dress code and while members of the congregation often sit in the same area of the church, there are no special or reserved seats so you are encouraged to sit wherever you feel most comfortable. |
Where to find us?Ballywalter is one of the oldest Presbyterian Congregations in Ireland, beginning with the Rev James Hamilton in 1626. Our distinctive church building is located right in the centre of the village where we meet every Sunday.
Sunday Service Time: 11AM The service each Sunday lasts for approximately one hour. Afterwards we serve tea and coffee and when worship ends many of our members are found at the front of the church catching up, chatting, laughing and enjoying one another's company.
Children and families are very welcome and well catered for. There are Creche facilities available during the service and our Sunday School provides a lively and fun packed time for children to learn about God. Although we can look back to a long history in Ballywalter village we see ourselves very much in the present with our aim to be: 'An active presence for Jesus'. And we invite you to join us. |
